In 2004 I bought the Tok Sheep tag issued by the Governors office of Alaska at our Eastern FNAWS convention. A friend later wanted it so I agreed to sell it to him never dreaming I would ever draw again. In the mean time, I continued to apply for the Tok tag and  talk to Alaska Hunting Adventures, Matt Snyder, & Sue and Frank  Entsminger [Matt's Mom and Step-dad] at our Eastern Chapter FNAWS convention.  In 2006 draw, Matt put his own money into the Tok draw to apply me since I had overlooked the $100+ fee at the last convention. Guess what? I drew a tag and went in August of 2006 to hunt the Tok with Frank Entsminger as my guide. Frank's name had been recommended to me over 20 years ago by another Alaskan I had run into at the show.  I was pretty excited to finally meeting Frank a few years ago.  I couldn't have dreamed, hoped or wished for a better guide. Also, Frank brought along Caleb Herkstroeter to help with the packing. Another great Alaskan and protégé of Frank's.  Caleb turned out to be one of the toughest young men I have ever met and a real gentlemen to boot. I have been on 20 plus sheep hunts and Frank and Caleb were the best of the best without a doubt. They were constantly asking if I wanted to rest. Was I hungry?  Was I Thirsty?  In other words, this was my hunt and they intended to do "Everything in their power" to make it fun and successful. The beautiful 42" ram we took on the 6th day was icing on the cake. The planning, organization, communication was first class from beginning to end. A dedicated sheep hunter could not have written a more pleasant script. Anyone interested in a mountain trip will be in for a family experience with Alaska Adventures, including Matt's Mom Sue and Matt's Step-dad, Frank Entsminger all are experienced and successful guides. They know the mountains and how to plan an enjoyable hunt  from A to Z. I can't thank the family enough for making this hunting trip one of the most memorable I've ever been on.
